Euro Nymphing has become increasingly popular in contemporary fly fishing. Echo’s Shadow II is thoughtfully designed by Pete Ericson who purposefully created the rod with competition Euro Nymphing techniques in mind. The rod is lightweight, extremely sensitive, and incredibly affordable - an age-old Echo priority. The Shadow II caters to a wide variety of anglers including beginners, enthusiasts, and even competition fanatics. For the price, it’s simply one of the best.

Blank

Slim Profile High Modulus Graphite Design - Rajeff Sports made an extremely sensitive blank when designing the Shadow II. Rajeff Sports didn’t sacrifice power, however, and the blank design creates a rod with a powerful fast action. The versatility of the rod blank allows anglers to focus specifically on nymphing or cast dry flies during a hatch. The Shadow II is the best of nymphing rod versatility.

Guides

Black Single Foot Stripping Guide - Fly rods that are nymph specific have to be lightweight. A single foot stripping guide fits the Shadow II well due to its lightweight design and slim profile.

Black Single Foot Guides - Similarly, single foot guides help eliminate unneeded weight from the Shadow II. These guides offer industry-accepted performance and functional style.

Reel Seat

Black Anodized w/Uplocking Component - The reel seat on the Shadow II is lightweight and durable. Black anodized aluminum protects the rod from weathering and an uplocking component locks any reel in place. The Shadow II also has a screw off end cap and comes with one ten gram counterweight to help you balance the rod in any nymphing scenario.

Rod Tube

Black Fabric-Covered Rod Tube - The Shadow II comes in a black rod tube with an Echo insignia. Fabric-covered rod tubes protect rods during time off the water and are a solid mid-priced alternative to an aluminum rod tube.

Warranty

Echo Fly Rod Lifetime Warranty - Echo will repair or replace any defective or damaged rods for the entire lifetime of the original owner. All rods must be sent to Echo for repairs/service. As of 4/17/2019, Echo charges a $35 fee for fly rod repairs/replacements.
